Your profile lets you personalize the app and better understand your results based on your age and sex.
The first time you open the SuiviBio app, you will be asked to enter some essential information such as your last name, first name(s), date of birth and sex. This information is used to tailor the interpretation of your lab results.
You can change this information at any time by following the steps below:
Your initials and age are calculated automatically. The profile is used to calculate your BMI and to adapt the reference ranges: the sex you enter selects the male- or female-specific ranges (PSA, β-hCG, LDL/HDL and TG/HDL ratios). The date of birth cannot be in the future.
You can add your lab results in two ways: manually, or by scanning your document with AI-powered automatic recognition.
Some lab reports write HbA1c as “0.059” and hematocrit as “0.415 L/L”. SuiviBio records them as percentages (5.9%; 41.5%), whether scanned or entered manually. The conversion is shown below the field: “0.415 read as 41.5%”.
Both comma and period decimal separators, as well as spaces as thousands separators (“245 000”), are accepted. An ambiguous value such as “0 059” is not saved rather than risk misreading it.
This guide describes the whole process for scanning or importing lab and medical test documents into SuiviBio, using AI-assisted optical character recognition (OCR).
In the app, you can digitize your lab documents in two complementary ways:
The smart scanner uses your smartphone's camera and AI to analyze your paper results in seconds:
This feature lets you extract data directly from your digital documents:
As soon as you confirm your captures or imports:
To ensure your medical data is reliable, a review screen is shown before anything is saved:
If your laboratories use different units, SuiviBio automatically converts them to your reference unit so your trend charts stay consistent.
For better recognition, make sure the document is well lit, lying flat and that the values are legible.
As soon as you open the app, the dashboard summarizes the key points of your lab results.
Date (“3 weeks ago”…) and number of parameters within / outside the reference range.
How long you have been tracking (“12 reports over 2 years and 3 months”), laboratories and tracked parameters.
Latest value of each out-of-range parameter, with its reference range and previous value. Consistency checks also flag values to double-check (e.g. HDL cholesterol higher than total cholesterol).
Blood pressure (WHO classification), pulse, temperature, SpO₂, fingerstick blood glucose, weight · BMI. The “Upcoming tests” card shows the 3 nearest due dates.
A lab parameter (cholesterol, blood glucose, hemoglobin) measures how your body is functioning.
These are ranges set by laboratories for most of the population. You can adjust the limits and units of each test to match your lab report, without losing any of your history.
Charts show how your results change over time.
From total cholesterol, HDL, LDL and triglycerides, SuiviBio automatically calculates six values. Nothing more to enter.
| Value | Calculation | Range shown |
|---|---|---|
| Non-HDL cholesterol | TC − HDL | up to 1.50 g/L |
| Remnant cholesterol | TC − HDL − LDL | up to 0.35 g/L |
| VLDL cholesterol | TG ÷ 5 | up to 0.30 g/L |
| TC / HDL ratio (Castelli index) | TC ÷ HDL | up to 5 |
| LDL / HDL ratio | LDL ÷ HDL | up to 3.5 (3.0 for women) |
| TG / HDL ratio | TG ÷ HDL | up to 3.75 (3.0 for women) |
These values are never measured on their own, so they cannot have a reminder. Set a reminder for total cholesterol, HDL, LDL or triglycerides instead. The ranges are for guidance only (sources on each parameter page) and do not replace your doctor's advice.
See how your lab results have changed at a glance with a summary table organized by report and by date.
Each column is a sample collection date, so you can easily compare several reports side by side.
Each row is a lab parameter, with its successive values and their units.
This table is ideal for preparing for a medical appointment: you can instantly see which parameters changed between two reports.
The classic mode for closely following how your lab parameters change over the long term.
Each dot is one measurement, linked to the others to show a visual trend.
Normal (green) and out-of-range (red) zones are displayed automatically based on the laboratory's ranges.
A new way to track your vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, etc.).
Measurements grouped by day and split into 5 time slots (morning, noon, afternoon, evening, night).
A gradient from green to dark red based on clinical severity thresholds, for instant reading.
Horizontal scrolling and pinch-to-zoom for a detailed view of your history.
For trends, Heatmap mode is used for vital signs, while line charts are used for other lab parameters.
SuiviBio helps you keep track of your health by automatically alerting you when your results need particular attention.
SuiviBio automatically alerts you if results fall outside the reference ranges. New alerts are indicated by a red dot on the notification icon.
Each notification tells you which parameter is involved and why you were alerted, to help you better understand your results.
You can tidy up your notification center by deleting past alerts, either one by one to keep track of your follow-ups, or all at once.
Find every report in “My reports”: results, laboratory, original document, PDF or text export — in just a few taps.
Each report can keep its source document: the scanned photo or the laboratory's PDF.
Documents stay on your phone, without metadata (no GPS location, no device information). They can be included in a backup, but never in a shared .sbp logbook.
Choose a follow-up (diabetes, high blood pressure…) and SuiviBio suggests the tests to do, with a recommended frequency for guidance. You confirm or adjust them, and the app reminds you when the day comes.
You choose your follow-ups. SuiviBio does not make any diagnosis and does not infer any follow-up from your results. Frequencies are for guidance only (sources: MSD Manual and HAS – French National Authority for Health, viewable in the app) and should be adjusted with your doctor.
| Follow-up | Suggested tests (recommended frequency) | Access |
|---|---|---|
| Diabetes | HbA1c (3 months) · creatinine, eGFR (12 months) · total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides (12 months) | Free |
| High blood pressure (hypertension) | Blood pressure (3 months) · creatinine, eGFR, potassium (12 months) · lipids (12 months) | Free |
| HIV | Viral load (6 months) · creatinine, eGFR, potassium (12 months) | Premium |
| Sickle cell disease | Total bilirubin (12 months) | Premium |
| Chronic kidney disease | Creatinine, eGFR, potassium (3 months) · calcium, phosphate (6 months) · hemoglobin, white blood cells, platelets (6 months) | Premium |
A parameter required by two follow-ups has only one reminder, using the shorter interval. When you stop a follow-up, reminders used by another follow-up or created by you are kept.
Due date = latest measurement of the parameter + chosen frequency. It updates automatically with each new report that includes this parameter.
The test date has passed
Within the next 14 days
Next test is later
Test due as soon as it is created
For most parameters, without turning on a full follow-up.
The details page and the Trend page then show “Next test on …” (tapping it opens the reminder). Exceptions: blood group, red cell phenotype, identified antibodies and calculated lipid panel values cannot have reminders.
For measurements you take yourself, set a reminder at fixed times, once or several times a day: blood pressure, heart rate and respiratory rate, temperature, SpO₂, fingerstick blood glucose, weight and waist circumference.
The “Test reminders” setting also turns off measurement reminders.
Your upcoming and overdue tests right on your phone's home screen.
Number of tests + the next one (e.g. “Creatinine — In 4 d”).
List of upcoming tests with due dates and 🔴 / 🟠 / 🟢 counters. The next measurement reminder is also shown (“20:00 · Blood pressure”).
Export your results to an encrypted file (.sbp), protected by a 5-character code, to show them to your doctor or a loved one. They open it in SuiviBio, on iOS or Android, without anything being saved on their device.
K7M2Q).Send the file by message or email, and the code another way (text message, phone call). Without it, the file cannot be read. SuiviBio does not keep it: if it is lost, export the logbook again to get a new code.
The file contains the results (values, units, ranges), the reports, the laboratories and the displayed name, but not the report photos or PDFs.
Receive a .sbp file, enter the code and browse a loved one's or a patient's reports and charts in an isolated session. Free, no Premium needed.
A backup lets you recover all your data on a new phone, even from iPhone to Android (shared iOS / Android format).
The .sbp logbook is for showing your results (encrypted, temporary viewing). The backup is for recovering your data. SuiviBio automatically recognizes the type of file you open.
Send a PDF or text report to your doctor via WhatsApp or email. From a report's page (Menu ☰ → My reports), choose the parameters to include, then share, print or send the text summary. PDF export is a Premium feature.
Menu > Share⚠️ Irreversible action: this function deletes ALL your biological data, including your follow-ups and reminders. Always create a backup first.
SuiviBio is available in French and English (text, parameters, tests, help and tips). Settings → “Langue / Language”: Français, English or “System language”.
No health data is sent to a SuiviBio server. Everything is stored locally on your device. Only the image from an OCR scan (optional, with your consent) is sent, encrypted, for AI analysis: our server does not keep it and Anthropic deletes it within 30 days. Learn more
